2024年10月24日，财经研究院留学生Workshop(第12期)成功举办。区域经济学专业的四名二年级留学生分享了自己的研究计划：哈龙展示了关于《发展中国家财政分权与碳排放的实证研究：制度与人力资本的作用》的研究；罗丽塔探讨了《“一带一路”倡议下影响中国与基里巴斯农业贸易的因素》；王佳乐分析了《城市发展对收入不平等的影响：以尼日利亚拉各斯为例》；特雷沙研究了《宏观经济不确定性对市场收益的影响：以津巴布韦证券交易所上市公司为例》。

刘倩、李珊珊和闫昊生三位导师出席了本次活动，并为学生的研究方案提供了宝贵的学术反馈，帮助他们进一步完善研究计划，增强了对研究目标和方法论的理解。在主讲人分享之后，与会学生们提出了有启发性的问题，并展开了热烈的讨论。本次活动是研究院提升留学生学术能力的系列活动之一，也是财经研究院国际学生教育的重要组成部分，将在提升国际学生教育质量方面发挥重要作用。

On October 24th, 2024, the Institute of Finance and Economic Research (IFER) at CUFE hosted a Student Workshop, offering second-year Master’s students a platform to present their research progress and approaches. Four students from the Regional Economics program participated: HAROON, who presented his research on the Empirical Examination of Fiscal Decentralization and Carbon Emissions in Developing Countries: The Roles of Institutions and Human Capital; RITA, who explored the Factors Influencing China-Kiribati Agricultural Trade under the Belt and Road Initiative; CALEB, who examined theEffect of Urban Growth on Income Inequality: A Case Study of Lagos, Nigeria; and THERESA, who analyzed The Effects of Macroeconomic Uncertainty on Market Returns: A Case of Listed Companies on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE).

The event was graced by the presence of three supervisors—Liu Qian,Li ShanShan, and Yan Haosheng—who provided valuable academic feedback, helping students refine their research proposals and strengthen their understanding of research goals and methodologies. Following the presentations, a lively Q&A sessionensued, with students raising thought-provoking questions that sparked further discussion.
