Speakers and Topic:
Lin Htet Aung (黄晓晨)will present his research on the impacts of China’s overseas economic and trade cooperation zones in host countries. Utilizing remote sensing data, the study evaluates how these zones influence economic development and urbanization, while also examining their contributions to local welfare. The research highlights both the economic benefits and the associated environmental costs, offering a balanced assessment of these large-scale international initiatives.
Alipasha Mollayev (阿力普)will present his research findings about the relationship between the forward and backwards participation indices of the countries in the BRICS countries in the global value chains and the competitiveness index, which shows the competitiveness of those countries.

Speaker Information:
Lin Htet Aung (黄晓晨) is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Finance and Economics, CUFE. He holds a Master's degree in International Business from Beijing Technology and Business University and a Bachelor's degree from Myanmar Maritime University. His research focuses on the interdisciplinary fields of development and environmental economics, urban studies, and geospatial analysis.

Alipasha Mollayev (阿力普), from Azerbaijan, is a 2023 doctoral student majoring in World Economics at the Institute of Finance and Economics, CUFE. He has completed his master’s degree in CUFE, School of Trade, majoring in International Business, andhisbachelor’s degree in ADA University, Azerbaijan, majoring in Business Administration.
